Can we pass in front of someone who is praying?

The Messenger of Allah sas said;

If the person who passes in front of a praying person, realizes the enormity of the sinfulness of this act, it will have been better for him to wait forty than to pass in front of him.”

The narrator was not sure whether the
Prophet sas said forty days, months or years

(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 8, Hadith 157; Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 294).

Now the question remains, if someone wants to pass in front of someone who is praying, then at what distance should he pass? The answer is that one can pass in front from a distance of one prayer row, as in, it is permissible to pass in front about one or two feet ahead of where the forehead is placed for sajdah [prostration] (Fiqh Ahmadiyya, vol. 1, p. 97-98).
